I remember when I first brought you home ... like it was yesterday You had the softest ears and the sweetest heart... in an instant, I loved you to infinity. We were inseparable... I was your protector. Despite my many shortcomings, you accepted me unconditionally. You helped me through the darkest moments of my life... I don't think I would have made it whithout you. I never met a dog like you... you filled my life with adventures and indescribable joy. As you got older, we took slower walks and more naps. One day you let me know that was time to go. You were tired and lots things were just not fun for you anymore. The one thing I could not protect you from was ..... time. I'm so grateful for the time we had together... but I want more. I want to see your beautiful face when I walk through the door. I want to snuggle your warm body and marvel at your cuteness. I want to smell your sweet smell that was yours alone.
