I think Kaiya taught me more about being a good steward to the animals in my life, more than any of the others. Her spirited and stubborn demeanor was something she would not allow to be tempered. She knew who she was and what her purpose was, and never faltered. I have yet to find another dog who possesses the same tenacity in the field; no matter the hunt she was fast, talented and it was always beautifully done. Very grateful for the fifteen years of fiery companionship.
