Our dear Astrid, alias Boesie, had so much love to give. She was always happy, literally smiling, eager to help you, to please you. Not just for us, for all the people she met in her life. Everywhere she went, she left people smiling. As she came to us as a 2 year old dog, she could nothing, just sit down and shiver. Over the years she learned to trust us and she came with us, everywhere we went. She traveled half Europe, saw a countless amount of restaurants from inside: quietly waiting under the table for a little snack. She accompanied the horses at the beach, over hills and in the forests and she gave them confidence that dogs are nice to be around. She sailed boats, guarded our tent at campsite, worked in the classroom with children, jumped fences at agilty training and slept at our footboard every single night. Of course she came along as we emigrated to Germany. Patiently traveling long our at the back seat of the car. In her last years she became a queen. She had seen it all, done it all and developed *finally* her own strong will. Her last years were more quiet, but still with action. Where she used to cycle 2 hours a day in younger years, she was able to make walks of 1/2 an hour until her last week!! In the last two years we drove to animal physiotherapy almost every week. The lady got her swim and lasertherapy, next to the massages and treatment I gave her myself on a daily basis. Taking care of here was such a fulfilling job, she was so thankful. Until her last days, she accompanied me in the stable every single day. She was like my shadow. Losing her happy loverly personality around us, hurts so much. She left many footprints on our souls. We cherish the 12 years of pure love she gave us. We are very very thankful she was in our life for such a long time. She left this world with a sigh of relief, laying her head softly in my lap. Thank you for everything, dear Boesie! Hope to meet you again one day.
